DAVAO CITY throughout the years has become a center and melting pot of people from different provinces in Mindanao, mostly for one reason and that is the variety of exceptional educational programs that are being offered in the city, being home to topnotch schools with different specializations.
For both parents and students, each year has always been a dilemma to find the best school offering programs that will address their needs, particularly in achieving a career of their choice.
In Davao city, Ateneo de Davao University is the most preferred institution, with its high passing rates for different courses that require a licensure examination.
The school registered 100 percent passing rate in Licensure Exam for Elementary Teacher, Nurses, Electrical Engineering and Chemistry. It also got a 96 percentpassing rate for Electronics Technician Licensure Exam, 92 percent passing rate for Secondary Teacher, 91 percent passing rate for the Civil Engineering, 89 percent for Social Workers, 85 percent for Chemical Engineering, 84 percent for Architecture, and 66 percent for Certified Public Accountants.
Based on the four exams found in finduniversity.ph, San Pedro College got high passing rate when it comes to medical courses. The school ranked 12 out of 120 in Medical Technologist Exam, with 98 percent passing rate. It also registered a 97 percent passing rate for nurses, 96 percent for Respiratory Therapists, 93 percent Pharmacists, 90 percent for secondary teacher, 82 percent for Physical Therapists, 81 percent for Guidance Counselors, 58 percent for Real Estate Broker Licensure Exam, and 82 percent for Psychometrician.
The University of Southern Philippines also specialize Engineering and electronics courses.
For four consecutive exams, it posted a 85 percent passing rate for Electrical Engineering, 88 percent for Mining Engineering, 87 percent for Electronic Technicians, 83 percent for Geodetic Engineering, and 81 percent for Master Electrician.
The University of Mindanao also got high passing rate in Librarian Licensure Examination with 91 percent passing rate, 90 percent for Electronic Technicians, ranking 28th of 152 schools, 85 percent for Electrical Engineering and 85 percent for Nursing Licensure Exam.
They also got 84 percent passing rate for Elementary Teacher, 83 percent for criminologists, 79 percent for Social Worker Licensure Exam, 77 percent for Master Electricians, 74 percent for CPA Licensure Exam, and 73 percent for Secondary Teachers.
Aside from San Pedro College, the Davao Doctor’s College also has high passing rates in Optometrist Licensure Exam with 90 percent, Radiologic Technologist Licensure Exam with 89 percent passing rate and Nursing licensure exam with 82 percent.
The University of Immaculate Conception also registered a 93% passing rate for Nutritionist Dietitian Licensure Exam and 96% passing rate for medical technology.
