Dave Torres and Roshua Adela Daclan dominated the 8th TDA Dancesports Championships in Singapore Polytechnic on July 7, 2018, bagging a total of 6 golds for the duo that represents the Philippines in the competition.
Torres and Daclan, both currently Grade 12 Senior High School Student of Davao Doctors College, ruled the Modern Standard Discipline bagging golds in the Tertiary III, Tertiary IIA and IIB, Open III, Open IIA and Open IIB categories of the competition sponsored by The Dancesport Academy (TDA) featuring Asia Inter-Tertiary Dancesports Championships.
The first ever international competition of the dancesport couple was supported by the Davao Doctors College administration. Incentives from the school also await the winning athletes.
The dynamic tandem, members of the DDC Dance Troupe, has been consistently participating and winning gold medals in national competitions. The dancesport couple claimed three (3) gold medals in Ormoc City during the National Dancesport Champioship on June 23, 2018, 2 (two) gold medals in the Palarong Pambansa on April 17, 2018, three (3) golds during the Philippine Summer Ball Championship in Boracay,Aklan on April 21, 2018 and championship during the National PRISAA on in Bohol on April 23, 2018.
